About Me

My name is JJ Murphy and I am a forager. My mission is to change our understanding of healthy eating by raising awareness and knowledge of the healthy and delicious food that is quite literally all around us and available for free. Yes, free!

"Take only what you need, as gently as possible, doing no harm to the environment." - JJ Murphy

My Foraging Philosophy

My foraging philosophy is simple: savor the abundance of edibles nature provides us each season of the year. Take only what you need, as gently as possible, doing no harm to the environment.

When foraging, be present and connect with your piece of nature, be it urban, rural or suburban. Allow the time you spend foraging to be time just for you to enjoy. Power down from technology and deepen your awareness of all that is gifted to us on this planet.

Foraging is a simple, wholesome, cost free way to improve your personal health and well being, so take pleasure in every moment of it.
